The websites provided by Coherent Corp. and its subsidiaries (collectively, “Coherent,” “we,” “us,” “ours,” “Coherent Group Entities”) use HTTP (or ‘browser’) cookies, pixels, JavaScript, local storage, and other mechanisms to automatically collect and record information about your browsing activities and use of the website and online services (collectively “cookies” unless otherwise noted). This Coherent Corp. Global Cookie Notice (the “Notice”) explains how we use cookies and describes what options you may have regarding those cookies. This Notice is limited to Coherent’s use of cookies only in connection with the websites owned and controlled by us, which display this Notice (each a “Site” and together the “Sites”).

Cookie List. You can access a list of the cookies used on one of our Sites, through our Cookie Preferences Tool, which can be accessed by clicking the “Cookie Preferences” link (or if you are in California the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link) in the footer of each of our Sites.

1. ABOUT COOKIES

Cookies allow us to remember users who are logged in, to understand how users navigate through and use our Sites and the information and services we make available through our Sites, to improve and measure our advertising campaigns (including on third-party sites and applications), and to secure and protect our Sites.

HTTP Cookies. Browser cookies are small text files, typically consisting of letters and numbers, that are transferred to your device through your web browser for record-keeping purposes. We use both first-party and third-party cookies on our Sites:

• First-party cookies: Cookies set by a website that is being visited by the user at the time (e.g., cookies placed by coherent.com).

• Third-party cookies: Cookies set by a domain other than that of the website being visited by the user. If a user visits a website and another entity sets a cookie through that website, this would be a third-party cookie.

Many of the HTTP cookies placed through our Sites are session cookies, while others are persistent cookies.

• Persistent cookies: These cookies remain on a user’s device for a period of time (which is specified in the cookie). They are activated each time that the user visits the website that created that particular cookie.

• Session cookies: These cookies allow website operators to link the actions of a user during a browser session. A browser session starts when you open the browser window and finishes when you close the browser window. Session cookies are created temporarily. Once you close the browser, all session cookies are deleted.

Pixel Tags. Pixel tags are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to HTTP cookies. In contrast to HTTP cookies, which are stored on your computer’s hard drive, clear GIFs are embedded invisibly on web pages. We may use pixel tags (also referred to as tracking pixels, web beacons or clear GIFs), in connection with our Sites to, among other things, help us manage content and compile statistics about usage of our Sites. We may also use pixel tags in HTML emails to our customers, to help us track email response rates, identify when our emails are viewed, and track whether our emails are forwarded.

Other Technologies. We may use other types of cookies as well. For example, local storage in HTML5 may also be used on our Sites to enhance your experience; for example, by storing your user preferences and settings. Local shared objects are data files similar to browser cookies but can store more complex data than simple text.

2. TYPES OF COOKIES WE USE ON OUR SITES

We may use required (also known as necessary or essential), functional, performance and advertising cookies as further explained below. The types of cookies we use may vary by Site. For some Sites, we may use all of the categories of cookies listed below and for other Sites we may only use some of the categories listed below. You can see the precise cookie categories and cookies implemented on this website by viewing the Cookie List here or by clicking on the cookie icon in the lower left corner of this page.

Below is a list of the different types of cookies we may use on our Sites:

• Required cookies: These are required for the proper operation and functionality of our Sites and cannot be switched off in our systems. Without these cookies, we cannot respond to your requests or provide you with the services you request or access on our Sites. For example, we use these cookies to enable you to log into any secure areas of our Sites and to move around the Sites and use their features, to remember information you have entered on forms during a web browser session, to identify you as being logged into our Sites; for security purposes; and to route users to specific servers. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but if you do so, this can encumber the Sites’ performance and may make certain features and services of the Sites unavailable to you.

• Functional cookies: These enable our Sites to provide enhanced functionality and may be set by us or third-party providers whose services we have added to our Sites. For example, we use these cookies to recognize you when you return to our Sites and help you obtain information you are looking for. They also enable us to personalize our content for you and remember your settings and preferences, including, for example, your choice of language or geographic location, and to provide and show special content, such as embedded videos and animation playback. Some of these cookies are managed for us by third parties, including by third-party providers whose services we have added to our pages. If you do not allow these cookies, then some or all of these services may not function properly.

• Performance cookies: These allow us to analyze activities on our Sites and on other sites where we post content in order to improve and optimize the way our Sites work and detect errors. We may use these types of cookies to ensure that visitors can easily find the information they are looking for on our Sites. One way we do this is to recognize and count the number of visitors and see how they move around our Site as they are browsing. Some of our performance cookies are managed for us by third parties. If you do not allow these cookies we will not know when you have visited our Sites and will not be able to monitor performance of the Sites.

• Targeting cookies: These record your online activities, including your visits to our Sites, the pages you have browsed, and the links you have clicked. One reason we use targeting cookies is to help make the content displayed on our Sites or third-party websites and services more relevant to you. Another purpose is to allow us to deliver advertisements or other communications to you that are customized to your apparent interests. 3. MANAGING YOUR COOKIE PREFERENCES ON OUR SITES

You may opt out of cookies on our Sites, as discussed below. As discussed above, opting out of certain types of cookies may affect the functionality of our Sites and may prevent you from being able to access certain features on the Sites.

Please note that your preferences are generally applied on a browser and device basis. So, you will need to set your cookie preferences for each browser and device you use to access our Sites. Further, if you subsequently delete cookies, your preferences may be lost and need to be reset.

Cookie Preference Tool. You can review or change your preferences for most cookies on our Sites (including to opt out of all but required cookies) by adjusting your preferences through our Cookie Preferences Tool. This can be done by clicking the “Cookie Preferences” link (or if you are in California the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link) in the footer of our Sites.

Global Privacy Control. If our Sites detect that your browser is transmitting a Global Privacy Control—or “GPC” signal—we will process that to opt your browser and device out of targeting cookies. Please note that if you come back to our Sites from a different device or use a different browser on the same device, you will need to opt out (or set GPC for) that browser and device as well.

Browser Settings. Another way you can adjust and manage your cookie preferences is through your browser settings (as further explained below). For most browsers, you may delete, review and block cookies by adjusting your browser settings. However, if you use your browser settings to block all or certain cookies this may affect the functionality of our Sites and you may not be able to access parts of our Sites. Browser “Do Not Track” Signals. Currently, our Sites do not respond to Do Not Track signals. However, as noted above, you can manage your preferences for our Sites using our Cookie Preferences Tool.

Third-Party Analytics. As noted, we may use third-party analytics tools subject to their availability to users in different countries, including Google Analytics (which might not necessarily be available in your jurisdiction) and others as set forth in our Cookie List, to collect, monitor and analyze this information in order to improve functionality and user-friendliness, and to better tailor the Services to our visitors’ needs. (You can access a list of the cookies as described in the section titled Cookie List above.) Accordingly, usage data is shared with Google, or other third parties, each of which have their own privacy policy addressing how they handle such information and any choices you may have about their collection and use of information. Google Analytics. Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google uses cookies to help us analyze how users use our Site. For more information about Google Analytics cookies, please see Google’s help pages and privacy policy. Google has developed the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on; if you want to opt out of Google Analytics, you can download and install the add-on for your web browser here. The information generated by the cookie about your use of one of our Sites (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. In case of activation of the IP anonymization feature, Google will truncate/anonymize the last octet of the IP address for Member States of the European Union and United Kingdom as well as for other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases, the full IP address is sent to and shortened by Google servers in the United States. On behalf of our Site, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the Site, compiling reports on your activity for us and third parties who help operate and provide services related to the Site. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.
